"Brown men", Relax, You Not Every Girl's Taste!

 As old as I am, I came to realise how these light skinned men have unimaginable confidence, in terms of approaching ladies. It's my own observation so I wouldn't care about the objections. 90% of them think or maybe assume that every other lady will quickly give them their phone numbers even before they finish asking them. Others make the same assumption that any lady would easily turn back to meet them or say hi with just a simple utterance of "xss xss". Others storm ladies' DMs with courage like that of exam cheaters just because they have put their images as profile pictures, exposing how "brown" their melanin is.

Hey light skinned men! You not every lady's taste. You not meticulous.  You not special neither do you deserve a special attention.  Relax. Being light skinned simply mean you just don't have a dark melanin, that's it. But are you smart in the head? Are you capable of hustling and bringing something to the table? Or all you can do is wake up at 10am with a good morning inform of "ipo siku"? And then spend the whole day in the bed, watching scary movies from your Android phone and browsing Tiktok..only taking peeing breaks and drinking water as you wait for someone in a skirt, "your chef" to come and actually cook and do justice to both your small and large intestines? Hey dude. I won't eat a light melanin. How good is your thinking capacity? Can you actually offer a solution to an emergency without waiting for me to combine efforts, or you'd rather uphold "two heads is better than none"? Can you actually buy yourself an extra pair of socks and do an haircut without being reminded? How good is your attitude? And self discipline? And sensitivity? Noo dude. We won't eat just light skin.

Well, I ain't trying to insinuate that light skinned men are useless.  Not like all dark skinned men meet the qualifications mentioned above, but atleast they don't brag. And of course while pointing my fingers at such light skinned men, they know themselves.  Not all of them, but please calm down and don't feel your ego destroyed as soon as you get served with a blue tick. Unless you give us the benefits of doubts. Again, you are not angels. If you know you that type that think you are every girl's dream, please get your life together! And minimise those "heys" you throwing in every DM belonging to humans that wear dresses and skirts. It's not all about a light melanin. Relax!

One day, I boarded a matatu to Nairobi CBD. I picked a window seat since I needed a billion gasps of fresh air and made myself comfortable. My mind was so screwed up, I had almost left the house in a pair of bathroom slippers. A mad person and I could've made great buddies and held a negotiable conversation.  Love letters were a traditional means of communicating with lovers and crushes back in the years when very few people owned mobile phones, and in instances when such phones were restricted, like in high school. Do high schoolers still write, send and receive love letters? During my high-school years, almost 10 years ago, they were so common. They were the best years of anticipating a beautiful experience, before smartphones became common and kinda ruined that. We couldn't wait for school functions like music festivals, games and symposiums.
