Men Also Dress Indecently! Everywhere.

 

Whenever issues to do with indecent dressing arise, everyone, point fingers at ladies, insinuating that it's the only gender to be blamed. A person who has keenly observed the society and daily surroundings including me, will object.

I was once in a lecture hall; hungry, tired and sleepy. Bored too. The lecture was boring. The lecturer too. He was bringing up irrelevant issues. He was speaking of impeding presentations after group works, reminding people to dress officially when the time comes. That point was well drove at home. But his intimidating nature would not allow him to leave it like that. He went ahead criticizing ladies, saying that they weren't supposed to wear dresses or anything that reveals their "ups" and "downs" (don't ask me what that means), breasts or thighs, adding that he was not interested in seeing either of those neither would they seduce him to awarding them more marks. As soon as he made that utterance, my mind turned from being sleepy to 110% active within a microsecond. Not because his words activated me no, but because of the laughter that was elicited by hundreds of comrades in that venue. I didn’t find it funny. Why wouldn't he address the male gender too? 

This made me question the essence of how ladies suffer every form of criticism in the society and how they are used as wiping tools. I am not defending those who wear indecently coz I don't know their reason. No one can be in a position to judge them. But has anyone addressed these dudes wearing very tight jeans and khaki trousers (almost resembling skin tights) to the extent that we can see the sizes of their balls? Has anyone criticized these dudes walking in sweatpants,even pink ones, revealing the shapes and sizes of their male genitalia? Absolutely no one. Has anyone accused them of showing off their lunch boxes to catch attention or seek favours? Haven't heard of one. Some even cross boundaries by walking in silk shorts, maybe assuming we'll close our eyes once we spot them from a distance. No. We might even be obliged to open them wider, not in admiration, but in shock.

The rentals. This same gender that will always accuse ladies of dressing indecently, will be doing nothing but walking around shirtless, revealing their chests. To many normal ladies, a man's chest is a turn on. Especially if it's worth it. I don't understand what you men try to communicate by doing so, exposing your well built chest, abs blessed and etc. Please put on your shirts, sorry, baggy shirts or even hoodies for the sake of everyone. Because, if a lady walks in a sports bra, that even in a court of law cannot be negotiable.  It will be indecent dressing. But if we ladies were to take the matter to the same court of law, we would accuse you of torture.

Before I spill all beans and land myself on trouble, I must add this. The boxers. A conference should be held and men forced to explain why they would show off their boxers on top of their trousers. Is it fashion, you sons of Adam? Or swagg? In an unfair society, when a part of lady's thongs or even bra straps is visible, that is without blinking, an act of indecent dressing. The poor lady will even be accused of trying to look for favours. But if ladies can see old, unwashed or them washed boxers belonging to the gender that wears them, it should just feel okay.

Well, without further ado, let us atleast give these ladies a break and use the same energy to address indecent dressing by men. The way you men feel when you think a lady is inappropriately dressed, it's even double how ladies feel towards indecent dressing by the male gender. Let's not point fingers at one gender while the other one is wreaking havoc too.
